Our workshop is in Park Street, St Albans, so Hertfordshire is our home county. We hire chuppahs throughout Hertfordshire including Elstree, Borehamwood, Radlett, Bushey, Watford and the county's country house venues, with installations at Dyrham Park, Notley Abbey and The Manor Hotel among many others.
The advantage of being local
For a Hertfordshire wedding we can do things that are difficult at distance: bring fabric samples to you rather than describing them, visit a venue we have not worked at before, install early without a hotel stay, and collect late without it becoming an overnight job.
If you are marrying in the county and want to see a structure before you book, ask. It is a short drive for both of us.
Hertfordshire venues and synagogues
The county is unusually well supplied with both country house venues and an established Jewish community, particularly around Elstree, Borehamwood, Radlett and Bushey.
We install regularly at Dyrham Park Country Club, The Manor Hotel in Elstree, Notley Abbey just over the border in Aylesbury, and at Borehamwood & Elstree Synagogue, where we recently built an Israeli flag into a Gold Frame canopy at a couple’s request.
Country house and marquee weddings
A good deal of Hertfordshire wedding work is marquee or garden-based, which changes the calculation. Outdoor structures need a site assessment, and a marquee’s own frame and lining affect what will look right underneath it.
Birch and white timber are the two designs that most often suit a Hertfordshire garden or marquee ceremony. We will come and look at the site rather than guess from a photograph.
