The White Wood Chuppah is a Jewish wedding canopy built from crisply painted white timber. Its neutrality is the point: it can stand bare for a minimal look, carry a draped fabric canopy, or disappear entirely beneath a floral covering. It is the most versatile frame in our collection and works indoors, outdoors and in marquees.
About the White Wood Chuppah
If you are not certain yet what your ceremony will look like – because the florist has not been booked, or the venue is still moving, or you simply have not decided – this is the frame to choose. It commits you to nothing.
White timber is visually quiet. It has none of the gold frame’s warmth, none of the birch’s texture, none of the Perspex’s shine. What it has is clean gallery lines and a colour that sits behind whatever you put in front of it, which makes it the frame florists reach for when they intend to cover the whole structure. Under a full floral covering the white timber vanishes and the chuppah appears to be made entirely of flowers.
Bare, it reads as modern and restrained – four white lines and a roof, and nothing else competing with the couple. Draped, it is a straightforwardly classic chuppah. It handles all three registers without ever looking like a compromise between them.
It has been installed at The Langham Hotel in London and at Four Seasons Hampshire, where Funky Flowers built an extraordinary floral chuppah on our frame – one of the best floral installations we have had the pleasure of supplying the structure for.

White Wood Chuppah - your questions
It is one of the two best bases we hold, alongside the birch. The clean white frame disappears under a floral covering, so the finished structure reads as though it is made entirely of flowers. We work alongside florists across the UK on exactly this.
Several, in square and rectangular formats. Send us your venue and the size of your wedding party and we will confirm which fits the space properly - an under-scaled chuppah in a large room is the most common mistake we are asked to correct.
Yes - it suits garden ceremonies and marquee events well. As with any freestanding structure we will assess the site and advise on anchoring or shelter.
Yes. Our White Wood frame was used at Four Seasons Hampshire, covered in floristry by Funky Flowers. It has also been installed at The Langham Hotel in London, among many others.
A matching white carpeted stage and aisle are available as additions. For a floral-covered chuppah in particular we would recommend them, so the ceremonial area reads as one composed setting.
