Introducing Our New Mirror Chuppah
The Mirror Chuppah went up for the first time last week at the Biltmore Hotel in Mayfair, with a white carpeted stage, a step, and twenty metres of white carpet aisle running to it.
It is the most theatrical structure we have built, and it works on a principle none of our other designs use. Every other chuppah adds something to a room. This one takes the room and gives it back, multiplied. The mirrored panels caught the Biltmore’s chandeliers, the floristry, and the faces of two hundred guests, and returned all of it in every direction at once.
The effect is difficult to photograph and impossible to describe properly, which is a problem for a company that has to sell it from a website. What we can say is that guests noticed it from the door, and kept noticing it.
Because it works entirely by reflection, it has no colour of its own and therefore cannot clash with a scheme. An all-white palette and a deep jewel-toned one both simply come out richer. That makes it, oddly, one of the safest choices in the collection as well as the boldest.
It is now available for hire across the UK. Given there is one of it, peak-season dates are worth asking about early.
